A process flow diagram shows the steps of a process in order: where it starts, the decisions along the way and where it ends. Teams use them to explain how work gets done, to find slow steps and to onboard new people. Instead of dragging boxes and arrows, you write one line per step – for example “A[Pick and pack] --> B[Ship to customer]” – and the diagram is laid out for you. Rounded boxes mark the start and end, diamonds mark decisions, and labels on the arrows show which way each answer goes. Change a word and the diagram redraws.
